Position Description
The Meals on Wheels (MOW) Coordinator will help to ensure all meals are prepared, packaged and delivered on time to community members. In addition to helping prepare meals in the kitchen, this position would also assist in the delivery of meals.

- Some kitchen experience preferred
- Open to feedback, and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license
- Strong sense of urgency
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all cold bags for MOW are prepared two days in advance
- Count appropriate number of MOW trays two days in advance
- Give direction and support to volunteers packaging MOW
- Prep all individually packaged items for cold bags – two days in advance
- Continually monitor the temperatures of hot food items through the packaging process to ensure optimal food safety and client satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dry storage with assistance of Kitchen Stewards
- Maintain cleanliness of MOW bags, refill hand sanitizer on bags
- Ensure that the number of cold and hot food items are accurate, and specialty meals are fulfilled
- Ensure MOW meals are packaged and sent to the appropriate locations on time or early
- Drive meals to volunteer pick-up sites, and retrieve returned empty bags from prior day
- Pick up donations for food pantry from partner businesses
- Help coworkers as needed
