What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Electrician position at ITnova?
ITnova is seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting Ethernet-based networks, including Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CCTV, Access Control Systems, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, Emergency Call Systems, Ambient Air Monitoring Systems, Audio/Visual, and other security systems.

- Perform electrical and electronic system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Support the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of electronic and electrical systems.
- Diagnose system malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- An Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or a related field; or Technical school certificate of completion in the electrical field; or Equivalent military training.
- An additional year of specialized experience may be substituted for the required education.
- Five (5) years of experience in the electronics or related field, including work performed under Program Manager oversight.
- Three (3) years of experience in the following areas design, construction, testing, installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems.
- Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, Emergency Call Systems, Ambient Air Monitoring Systems, Audio/Visual and Security Systems
- Prior experience of CCTV, Security systems, Access Control, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, Emergency Call Systems, and Audio/Visual systems.
- Must possess a Master Electrician License from the Maryland Board of Master Electricians.
