What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oven Operator position at Jessie Lord Bakery, LLC?
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring that a high-quality and safe product is produced and baked.
Essential Job Functions
- Set up baking programs and test all equipment.
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust controls as needed to ensure proper baking
- Inspect baked pies for quality, including color, texture, and aroma
- Load and unload trays of pies into ovens using appropriate equipment
- Set up and verify printer.
- Complete the required paperwork and report to upper management when machine repairs are needed.
- Train new hires.
- Notify upper management of non-conforming products and the supervisor or manager when accidents or incidents occur
Food Safety Responsibilities
- All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
- Monitors and enforces cGMPs
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs
Qualifications/Physical Requirements
- Ability to understand written and oral direction in English and/or Spanish.
- Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 Lbs.
- Frequently push/pull up to 50 Lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Available to work different shifts.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour. Pay scale is based on experience and education.
