Job Details
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buyer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain, materials, parts, equipment, schedules, orders, and coordinating with the manufacturing and production teams. The role requires extensive experience in electronics, inventory management, commodity, excel, and negotiating.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and parts.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost savings and quality control.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing and production teams to ensure that materials and parts are delivered on time and in the required quantities.
- Develop and maintain schedules for the delivery of materials and parts to meet production requirements.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Work with the accounting team to ensure that invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the supply chain process.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in a buyer role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, materials management, and inventory control.
- Experience with negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
