Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain CNC programs for lathes and mills using CAD/CAM software.
- Create and optimize machining processes to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand job requirements and specifications.
- Perform machine set-ups and trials, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all programming activities.
- Train machine operators and provide technical support as needed.
- Ensure all CNC machines are operating at optimal levels, performing regular checks and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Utilize ERP systems to track, analyze, and report on production data.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in CNC programming, machine operation, and use of ERP systems.
- Proficient in programming and operating CNC lathes and mills.
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards is a plus.
