Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures
- Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and present financial reports to management
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy of cost accounting records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the accounting team
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
