We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and diligent Permanent Litigation Associate to join our prestigious legal firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in entertainment and media litigation, with a proven track record of managing complex legal cases from inception through trial. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of attorneys, handling high-profile cases in the fast-paced world of entertainment and media litigation.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Associate, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial execution.
2. Conducting thorough and detailed legal research to support case strategies and to stay abreast of recent developments in entertainment and media law.
3. Drafting high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, and memoranda, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on persuasive legal writing.
4. Working closely with partners and clients to develop effective litigation strategies and to ensure client satisfaction.
5. Representing clients in court, presenting arguments, and cross-examining witnesses.
6. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
7. Participating in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings, to build and maintain a strong professional network.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Litigation Associate, you must have:
1. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Associate Litigation Attorney, with a strong focus on entertainment and media litigation.
4. Demonstrated expertise in legal research and legal writing.
5. Experience in commercial litigation and litigation management.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
7. A strong work ethic, with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload and to meet tight deadlines.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate issues and to develop effective solutions.
9. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
