Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our team, providing key support in our litigation department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, contributing to our firm's reputation for excellence. The role is best suited to a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the legal industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Paralegal, you will be expected to:
1. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and development.
2. Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.
3. Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including the organization and maintenance of documents, and the preparation of reports for attorneys.
4. Utilize legal case management software to track cases, deadlines, and ensure efficient workflow.
5. Provide litigation support during trials, including the preparation of trial exhibits and coordination of witness schedules.
6. Maintain excellent client relations, acting as a liaison between attorneys and clients, and ensuring client needs are met promptly and professionally.
7. Assist attorneys with case management, including coordinating and scheduling court dates and meetings, and maintaining case files.
8. Prepare and file court documents in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Litigation Paralegal position will have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in defense side litigation.
2. A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
3. Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
4. Proficiency in legal case management software.
5. Familiarity with the discovery process and drafting legal documents.
6. Excellent academic credentials.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to maintain positive client relations.
8. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. Superior organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
10. A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. A commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
