We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Healthcare Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to work on healthcare construction projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing ground-up projects, with a particular focus on healthcare facilities. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of ACHA standards and guidelines. If you're passionate about healthcare construction, have an eye for detail, and possess excellent leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Coordinating and supervising all construction activities on the job site.
3. Ensuring that all construction is in compliance with design specifications and ACHA standards.
4. Implementing and maintaining safety protocols, ensuring all site personnel adhere to them rigorously.
5. Conducting regular site inspections and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
6. Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
7. Leading, training, and mentoring junior staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
8. Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring their work is performed according to the project plan.
9. Resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
10. Preparing and submitting regular progress reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare projects.
2. Proven experience in managing ground-up construction projects.
3. In-depth knowledge of ACHA standards and guidelines.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
7. Proficiency in using construction management software.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) would be an asset.
10. A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record in maintaining safe work environments.
11. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
12. Willingness to travel as required.
