We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns including corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Conduct detailed tax planning and research to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Manage audits by tax authorities and provide support during litigation involving tax matters.
- Ensure the company's tax policies are in line with updated laws and regulations.
- Advise management and partners on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities and on the potential for tax planning opportunities.
- Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
