What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Buyer position at Johns Hopkins Medicine?
Are you an experienced, Pharmacy Buyer looking for a new & exciting opportunity? If so, Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC, has the perfect opportunity for you!
As Pharmacy Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement and pricing of all medications. You will be also prepare invoices for payment and maintain required purchasing and inventory records. You will assist Pharmacy leadership in selecting and implementing purchasing contract options and formulary management decisions made by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. You may provide back-up assistance to pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, charging and maintaining patient records. Hours may be irregular and include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school diploma. At least one year of college preferred.
- Five years general hospital pharmacy experience should have previous purchasing and inventory management experience.
- Pharmacy Technician certificate in DC is required.
Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift.
