Job Title: Backend Developer with GraphQL, AI & Neo4j
Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in GraphQL, AI integration, and Neo4j graph databases. You will be responsible for building robust backend services, optimizing data access through GraphQL and Neo4j, and enabling AI-powered features to support next-gen applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and microservices architecture.
- Develop and manage GraphQL APIs for seamless data access and performance.
- Integrate Neo4j graph database to model and query complex relationships.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to embed AI-powered features into backend services.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code, following best practices.
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and system security.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Java backend development using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL development (e.g., Apollo, Netflix DGS).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Neo4j and Cypher query language.
- Experience integrating or consuming AI/ML services/APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, custom models).
- Solid understanding of REST, Microservices, and API gateway patterns.
- Familiarity with Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GraphQL federation and schema stitching.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven architecture, and message brokers.
- Previous experience in large-scale distributed systems or data-driven platforms.
