What’s a typical day as an Inventory Control Associate? You’ll be:
- Audit and cycle counting inventory to keep systems in balance, investigate inventory discrepancies during daily order processing.
- Bin replenishment, material kitting, packaging, shipping and receiving functions.
- Reviews and analyzes stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions and recommends replenishment plan.
- Process rejected, expired, short dated and returned products, support Quality and Manufacturing with material being destroyed, reworked or quarantined.
- Resolve orders on hold for inventory status. In addition to rejected, expired, and short dated products, process material being destroyed, re-worked, or quarantined, Significant computer interface is required.
- Recommends improvement to inventory system where errors could affect the replenishment systems, financial position, credibility, or overall operation.
- Updates inventory records.
- Controls inventory accuracy and controls inventory levels by changing reorder points and par levels to meet changing demands.
