Description
The Before and After School Enrichment Teacher is responsible for the health, safety, welfare, and personal growth of each youth, ages 5-12 within a 1:18 ratio. The BASE Teacher shall plan, implement, supervise & evaluate recreational activities daily to provide adventure, enjoyment and develop social skills and interests in the youth.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must meet state requirement for Child Care Teacher.
- Provide proof of current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Experience working with children
- Basic math and writing skills.
- Willingness to learn state licensing child care regulations and procedures for Group Day Care Centers.
- Ability to work cooperatively with youth, parents, staff and community organizations
- Joy and satisfaction in working with children
- Ability to work independently.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Background check cannot contain offenses restricted by state law
