What to Expect in the Role:
- Deliver feed to assigned location to cattle.
- Visually inspect equipment and vehicles daily.
- Report items in need of repair.
- Repair equipment and vehicles as needed.
- Perform various manual labor duties assigned by supervisor.
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of chain drives, gear boxes, variable speed drives and water well equipment.
- Must have at least a basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and attach/hook-up all farm/heavy equipment.
- Prefer prior experience with an agricultural background or a comparable field of study through formal education.
- Properly manage and handle pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, and lubricants.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing, the ability to be an approved driver for the company and to safely operate vehicles.
- Ability to work a ten (10) hour shift, six days a week and extended hours as necessary.
- Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to vibrating motions.
