Role Summary:
Operate farm equipment to assist in brush control, mowing, maintenance of all facilities and grounds.
What To Expect In The Role
- Demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently operate and attach/hook-up all farm equipment, including backhoe, ditcher, water jet and compressor equipment, hoists, skid-loader with various attachments, and/or other equipment as may be required from time to time for performance of duties.
- Visually inspect equipment and vehicles operated each day and report items in need of repair.
- Perform various manual labor duties including welding, building fences/cattle pens, spraying, picking up trash and brush and mowing with tractor batwing, patch concrete troughs, use chain saw and IPT brush with herbicides.
- Operate equipment with auger.
- Perform all safety requirements as identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior maintenance experience.
- Must read and understand the Water System Quality Standards as published from time to time.
- Requires ability to properly manage and handle pesticides, herbicides, fuels, and lubricants.
- Requires ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures.
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
- Must understand general valve, plumbing and piping engineering, laying PVC, repair, and construction requirements for transporting water from a water pump (solar, windmill, or electric) to a trough, tank, or water storage facility.
