Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Lead, the Mixroom Operator is responsible for retrieving, weighing, and mixing chemical ingredients, monitoring equipment during the chemical process, recording information about the equipment and compounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process.
- Recording information, such as ingredients, weights, and temperature, and inputting into database.
- Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes.
- Observing all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations.
- Reporting accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
- Assisting in planning and improving processes and product quality.
- Working with other team members to complete the production process.
- Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor/ Manager.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- 3 years experience with extrusion process
- 3 years related experience, preferably within the plastics or automotive industry
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to enter Production Data into computer monitoring system
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

- Previous manufacturing experience
