Overview
The Ops Shipping Clerk, based in our Distribution Center, will assist the transportation department with efficient operation of the transportation office including customer service, carrier performance, routing, billing, and directing and overseeing the work of the third-party carriers delivering freight throughout the store network. Assists Distribution Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads with daily reports and releasing waves.

Assists Distribution Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads with daily reports and releasing waves.
Responsibilities
- Assists Distribution Management in basic and clerical duties
- Performs document preparation, control, and filing activities
- Performs daily end of shift reports
- Ability to help management and leads in any other area of the business as needed
- Communicates with supervisors, team leads and transportation of daily needs.
- Completes daily yard checks and multiple spreadsheets
- Performs other duties as assigned

- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- RF scanning proficient
- Must operate in compliance with all company policies.
- Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as with others in a cooperative team environment
- Must be able to problem solve
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time as needed
- Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
- Ability to lift and handle cases in a variety of sizes and weights
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse/distribution center setting
