We are seeking applicants for a Shipping Clerk positionin our Olive Branch, MS facility located at 8489 Summit Cove, Olive Branch, MS 38654
Pay Rate : $ per hour

Shift :
1st Shift : 6 : 00am 2 : 00 pm
Competitive Benefits :
Overtime is paid at times base rate in excess of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities :
Coordinate logistics to lead the fast-paced shipping department in meeting daily customer demands by fulfilling orders on time and providing outstanding service on shipping options for the customer.
Project management responsibilities include, but not limited to, warehouse space utilization, freight cost optimization, trailer utilization and driver and vendor delivery coordination.
Helps determine work procedures, work schedules, and expedites workflow.
Ability to recognize numbers and number sequences to identify order numbers and load tag numbers.
Ability to adequately complete all shipping / receiving department loading / unloading paperwork. Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.
Ability to complete end of month inventory with accuracy.
Helps communicate with warehouse personnel regarding order readiness.
Position requires assisting all jobs in Shipping and Receiving department and plant production floor.
Able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Ability to unload, unload and stage sheet stock trucks. Baled units that are not on pallets.
Ability to properly load outbound trailers with and without pallets.
Works with other department staff members as required, such as customer service, sales, production, and accounting.
Able to operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
Requires a demonstrated commitment to safety, process improvement and housekeeping.
Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
This job requires the ability to operate independently with minimum supervision.
Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year experience in shipping environment.
Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
Candidates must possess advanced computer skills, and be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Must be authorized to work in the
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous experience in a packaging warehouse and / or manufacturing environment.
Fully proficient in all facets of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and system administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to sit, stoop climb and bend.
Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively communicating with members.
