The Role:
As the Deputy Member of our technical staff, the Senior RF Systems Design Engineer will apply advanced principles of engineering and management to solve complex problems in the development of technology. As a leader, you’ll oversee and manage design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering, and related physical sciences. It’s engineering that sets the standard for the world.

What you bring to the table:
A Bachelor’s in engineering or a related technical field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Outstanding leadership skills
Ability to optimize all phases of work including requirements management, modeling and simulation, risk analysis and formal trade study tools

Requirements
RF design
Design for military environments and compliance to military standards (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and MIL-STD-810)
Strong understanding of receiver technology (noise figure, gain, noise floor, intercept points, intermodulation)
Some experience with RF board layout
RF simulations
FEKO, ANSYS suite, or equivalent
Antennas and antenna testing
Strong understanding of antenna concepts (e.g., gain, VSWR, impedance matching, antenna arrays, active and passive antennas)
Experience in cosite and cosite measurements
Experience with masts and cables and their impact to systems on a mast
Experience with system calibrations (RF paths, DF, BIT)
Extensive experience with RF test equipments (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, DVM’s, etc.)
Troubleshooting systems
Ability to track down noise and noise artifacts
Understand nonlinear impacts to systems
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
