What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mascot Performer position at Lake County Captains?
Position in the corporate structure: The Mascot Performer will report directly to the Director of Game Entertainment & Promotions.
Mascot Performer Duties:
Game Day
1) Perform as the Captains mascot, Skipper, for all 66 Captains regular season home games, home playoff games, if necessary, and off-site mascot appearances under the direction of the Director of Game Entertainment & Promotions.
2) Attend all off-site appearances in the community under the direction of the Director of Game Entertainment & Promotions.
3) Develop in-game entertainment involving the team mascot, including live skits or pre-recorded videos
4) Work to develop skits and activities for the promotional staff to execute on game days
5) Interact with fans and encourage fan involvement and enthusiasm at Captains home games
6) Work with the Captains staff to follow up with all accounts during the season
7) Work as a member of a TEAM, and Have Fun!!!
8) Conduct self in a professional manner

13) Minimum physical requirements are able to lift, carry and transport up to 30 pounds

16) Must also be flexible and able to handle situations with a quick and professional response
17) Must have reliable transportation—mileage expenses incurred for official team business will be reimbursed
18) Ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends
