What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media & Graphic Design Intern position at Lake County Captains?
The Lake County Captains are looking for a talented and enthusiastic designer with an excellent eye for detail to join the Marketing Team for the 2024 baseball season. The Social Media & Graphic Design Intern will work closely with the Social Media Manager to produce print and digital graphics that will be displayed in-park and online. The Captains believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment that values creativity, innovative thinking, and the unique perspective each team member brings. You will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with our experienced staff, attend meetings, and build professional relationships throughout the season!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties:
- Assist Social Media Manager with print and digital materials.
- Follow the brand guidelines and 2024 design aesthetic set forth by the Lake County Captains.
- Collaborate with the Lake County Captains staff to develop creative concepts.
- Assist with in-house print fulfillment including cutting, folding, laminating, etc.
- Assist in copywriting and content curation: MiLB activations, new concepts, etc.
- Assist in taking photos/videos and editing for player content, fans, community, proof of performance, etc.
- Exhibit willingness to attend events outside of normal game days to capture social media content - including mascot appearances.
- Maintaining best practices/crisis management/FAQs
- Perform other duties set forth by the SMM or GM
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with the Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Lightroom.
- Experience shooting and editing photography.
- A keen eye for detail and proofing.
- Ability to receive constructive criticism.
- Ability to work jointly and independently.
- Ability to prioritize urgent and long-term assignments.
- Great organizational skills; file naming and folder locations.
