Lake of the Pines Association is accepting applications for the position of Janitor I/Facility Set-Up position. This person will perform tasks in relation to the cleanliness of the Association's buildings which are, Association Offices, Clubhouse, Sports Lounge, Lakeside Pavilion, and Public Safety Security Gate. In addition, will perform set-up/take down tasks for all Food and Beverage events, including lunch/dinner service, and special events. The schedule consists of weekday and weekend morning shifts and working on holidays as required.
Lake of the Pines is a 2,000-home gated private community located in the foothills of Northern California between the towns of Auburn and Grass Valley. Among its numerous amenities, the community boasts of a 230-acre private lake and a 19-hole golf course as two of its prime amenities. This is a Full-Time position with an hourly wage of $18/hour. Required Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning responsibilities include all Association bathrooms, removal of trash, dusting, cleaning facility floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, spot cleaning or machine polishing.
- Clean and polish all furniture and fixtures.
- Remove cobwebs inside and outside as needed.
- Check and clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
- Service bars by removing all bottles and garbage.
- Select appropriate cleaning products and methods. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Perform set up, take down, reset and cleaning for all Food and Beverage events.
- Move furniture and various other items needed for events.
- Maintain cleaning gear in good working order.
- Order inventory as needed and keep gear lockers adequately stocked.
- Drive company vehicles required to perform your duties as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications Requirements:
- Valid California Driver’s License in good standing and maintained as a condition of continued employment.
- 6 months related experience or training.
- Open availability to include early morning shifts, weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Required to complete work with deadlines, deal with frequent interruption, and recall details. Employee is regularly expected to be able to concentrate and make decisions.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
