What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor I, Upward Mobility Nursing position at Lamar State College-Port Arthur?
This position is a full-time, 12-month exempt role responsible for teaching nursing students. The instructor will provide quality instruction in the classroom and lab settings, as well as clinical supervision. Assigned classes and clinicals may occur during the day or evening with varying teaching locations including on-campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach nursing courses to students
- Develop and implement curriculum based on program, department, and college goals and objectives
- Serve on departmental and college committees
- Participate in continuing educational and/or professional development opportunities
- Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in subject areas of teaching responsibility
- Respond to students, faculty, and staff in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- Master of Science degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science degree with Master's degree in related field and a minimum of six semester hours of graduate level content in nursing
- Registered Nurse and registered to practice in the State of Texas
- Must be currently employed in nursing or nursing education for the previous three years
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
