This role will focus on providing strategic legal guidance on product development, emerging regulatory requirements, and risk considerations across a broad portfolio of financial and insurance-related offerings.

Key Responsibilities
- Counsel product, business, and risk teams on legal considerations relating to new and existing financial services products.
- Monitor and interpret federal and state regulatory developments impacting product design, marketing, distribution, and operations.
- Advise on legal and regulatory risks, and support risk mitigation strategies across business units.
- Draft, review, and negotiate product-related documentation, disclosures, and corporate agreements.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Product teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Support thought leadership on emerging trends affecting the financial services and insurance sectors.
- Provide general corporate and regulatory advice as needed in a broad in‑house legal capacity.
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
- Foundational knowledge of corporate law or insurance law required.
- Experience advising on product development, product regulations, or risk-related matters strongly preferred.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and provide practical, business‑aligned legal guidance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Insurance or broader financial services experience is a plus, but not required.
