Tax Supervisor
Stoneham, MA Onsite Required
$100,000 - $130,000 annually | Full-Time Onsite
Our small, collaborative CPA firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with supervisory experience to join their team. The firm offers full-service tax, audit, accounting, and advisory support to a diverse mix of clients including technology, real estate, nonprofit, healthcare, and professional services.

Qualifications:
- 5 years of recent tax and accounting experience, ideally in a small firm setting
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree with equivalent experience
- CPA or EA preferred, but not required
- Strong tax preparation experience with 1040, 1041, 1065, 709, and 990-PF
- Comfortable working with client base under $30M in revenue; high client volume
- Proficient in UltraTax, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Practice CS, and Onvio
- Able to work independently with limited structure; adaptable to team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 75% and review 25% of tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, nonprofit)
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with junior staff and clients
- Draft client communications and complete returns for partner review
- Work closely with partners on tax planning, IRS notices, and complex issues throughout the year
- Exposure to foreign operations and multistate compliance
- Perform GAAP and tax research
- Opportunity to assist with audit and compilation engagements (990 and PPC experience a plus)
