PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Systems Administrator position is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, optimization, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
The Systems Administrator will support project teams with executing, testing, and rolling-out innovative solutions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and deploy Azure solutions, including storage, networking, computing, and identity. Monitor and maintain health, ensuring high availability of Azure solutions.
Maintain high level of security for all Azure solutions.
Monitor and maintain health, ensuring high availability of Servers, Windows infrastructure, Storage Platforms, Virtual Platforms, SFTP systems, Identity Platforms and Email infrastructure.
Maintain high level of security for identity services.
Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual backups and archive jobs to ensure recoverability.
Understand how and ensure critical systems can be recovered and perform restores as requested.
Build, design, and maintain system failover between primary to failover sites.
Ensure systems are updated with patches, firmware, and associated updates to keep current.
Monitor and maintain Intune and Defender ensuring windows endpoints are managed and secured.
Build and maintain windows endpoint compliance and security policies. Monitor and maintain GPOs as needed.
Monitor all systems and take proactive action to resolve issues.
Review system and application logs and take appropriate corrective action when necessary.
Follow established guidelines to maintain a strong level of security on all systems.
Monitor, evaluate, recommend improvements where necessary.
Work with LFI established vendors/partners to plan and proactively resolve system issues.
POSITION
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:
7-10 years of experience in administration of complex systems environments with a strong understanding of business impact and systems management.
High level of experience with Azure Compute, Storage, and networking
Advanced experience with Windows Server Operating systems and VMWare.
Advanced experience with storage systems.
Advanced experience with complex software installation, software upgrades and system migrations.
Advanced diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to produce repeatable results.
Experience with scripting or programming languages.
Experience with automation of complex and diverse business and operational workflows. Experience with enterprise automation is preferred.
Knowledge of virtualized computer environments and management of virtualized systems based on VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization solutions.
Experience with Networking - Firewalls, Switching, Wireless, LAN/WAN environment.
Certification in OS or application certification for one or more systems is preferred (Windows, VMWare, Hyper-V, or Azure).
