System Administrator
Location: NW Portland, OR - Onsite
Duration: Direct Hire
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 Benefits
Ledgent Technology is partnering with our amazing business partner seeking a System Administrator for a Full Time, Onsite position in NW Portland, OR. Responsible for the administration, support and maintenance of IT infrastructure and departmental applications across five major sites, numerous secondary sites and forty-two retail store locations. Operate as a representative of the IT organization in other initiatives; contribute to improving our core technology infrastructure including server design and optimization, virtual server and desktop provisioning, and network implementation. Develop operating and support policy standards by facilitating system usage maximization, promoting best practices and insuring timely system maintenance. Provide direct support to the remote site employees that will help maximize productivity and efficiency on our IT systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Technically competent individual with working experience in a small to medium sized company.
- This individual will be a key member of the IT Technical Services group with a primary focus on:
- Server and network configuration, administration and support.
- Data protection, recovery and storage management.
- Configure, support and maintain antivirus systems.
- Support and maintain security and system updates across all platforms.
- Ability to write scripts for deployment and support purposes.
- Data center maintenance and support (racking equipment, maintaining UPS, cooling).
- Administer on-call and after-hours technical support during scheduled maintenance and emergency outages.
- Direct support of the remote site employees (desktops, notebooks, mobile, RF, Windows and Macs).
QUALIFICATIONS (The training, education and/or experience necessary to fulfill the job)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field and 5 years of providing advanced support for a mid-sized company.
- 3 years of experience that demonstrates a wide range of computer/network operations knowledge and responsibilities.
- Experinece with Cisco Networking
SYSTEM QUALIFICATIONS
- Thorough understanding and use of Windows Operating System environments (Windows 10/11, Windows Servers), Mac OSX knowledge is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with different locally installed and cloud/web-based applications.
- Solid understanding of security concepts for building, deploying and maintaining IT systems and applications.
- Must have experience with the following technologies (preferred):
- Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP and DNS
- Microsoft Enterprise Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- Microsoft Windows server administration (physical and virtual)
- Microsoft Exchange
- Commvault data backup
- SOTI MDM
