Compensation: Up to $70,000 annually

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive GL Accountant to join our collaborative finance team supporting our healthcare operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization's financial sustainability.
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage accounts payable processes, including coding of revenue/expenses and reconciliations (bank, credit card)
- Support payroll financial processing, including compliance with agency reporting requirements
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Assist with internal and external audits, preparing requested documentation
- Provide financial insights and analysis to leadership
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor and track grants, donations, and restricted funds to ensure proper usage
- Identify and implement process improvements within the finance team
- Maintain accurate accounting records and retention systems
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc reporting needs
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with Paycom a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit, mission-oriented environment
- Self-starter with strong integrity, accountability, and problem-solving skills
