Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Finance Manager with a background in travel retail to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, and commercial decision support for our travel retail division. This role involves close collaboration with senior management and operational teams to drive financial performance and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the travel retail division.
• Provide commercial decision support, including pricing strategies, promotional analysis, and profitability assessments to maximize revenue and margin growth.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives within the travel retail sector.
• Partner with the sales and marketing teams to evaluate new business opportunities, contract negotiations, and promotional activities.
• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and business insights.
• Monitor and analyze key financial and operational KPIs, providing actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements within the travel retail operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional finance qualification (CPA, CFA) preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial finance or financial management, with a focus on travel retail or a similar industry.
• Proven track record of leading financial planning and analysis activities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of retail finance, pricing strategies, and commercial decision support.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
