Patient Financial Counselor
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Patient Financial Counselor for our healthcare client located in North Phoenix. This position will be 100% onsite and a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. The shift for this position will be Monday-Friday, from 1p-9p.
This position will be focused on assisting patients with financial solutions for their account balances, collection of payments and copays, and helping them to understand their insurance coverage. This will be a patient-facing position and interested candidates must feel comfortable discussing payment options based on different insurance coverages. Reading and interpreting EOBs is crucial in this position.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years medical billing/patient financial counseling/patient account rep experience
- Proficient working with EMR Systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in person
- Compassionate and empathetic towards others while being able to maintain a professional boundary
- Can work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different tasks throughout the day
- Ability to meet production metrics as outlined by management and meet deadlines as needed
- Strong ability to understand insurance coverage and read and interpret EOBs
- Tech savvy and can work well within multiple software systems
