As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be the key financial partner for our LATAM operations, ensuring accurate cost accounting, driving impactful FP&A insights, and partnering with the wider Operations team to optimize business performance. Your expertise in cost accounting and FP&A will help shape the financial landscape across a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the LATAM cost accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely balance sheet and profit and loss valuations for the region.
- Own month-end deliverables, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and audit support, ensuring flawless execution and compliance.
- Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to keep our operations on track, with insightful performance reporting and reviews.
- Drive the development and maintenance of product costing for the LATAM region, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational goals.
- Collaborate with international operations teams to provide financial guidance and support, acting as a trusted business partner to optimize decision-making.
- Assist in the development and refinement of cost accounting policies and procedures, ensuring control and compliance throughout the region.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 3-5 years of experience in Operations Finance, Cost Accounting, FP&A, or Operations Analysis.
- 3-5 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods or a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel. Experience with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, Business Intelligence, or other reporting/data visualization platforms is highly preferred.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage high-volume workloads and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
