About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Human Resources Manager to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Tualatin, OR. This role is pivotal in providing tactical HR support and fostering a strong partnership with the Plant Manager and broader HR team. The ideal candidate will bring a full-spectrum HR background with a strong emphasis on compliance, employee relations, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for the onsite manufacturing facility.
• Partner closely with the Plant Manager to support workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management.
• Provide tactical HR support including employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and policy enforcement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Lead or support safety initiatives including safety walks, incident investigations, and OSHA reporting.
• Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies in collaboration with the corporate HR team.
• Manage HR metrics and reporting, including headcount, turnover, and safety data.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience with safety programs and OSHA compliance is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
