Position Overview:
The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in the Mass Torts/Class Action Defense practice area. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to manage a high-volume caseload, and work effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Draft legal documents, including subpoenas and pleadings
- Conduct case analysis and ensure all deadlines are met
- Summarize medical and billing records, as well as deposition transcripts
- Manage cases from inception through resolution
- Perform Federal and State e-filing
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- High level of motivation and initiative
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experience with iManage
- Familiarity with Aderant billing software is a plus
