LHH is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our client in Birmingham, Alabama. Check out the details below:
- Salary is $55k-$68k/year
- Fully Onsite
- Flexible start time: Earliest starting time: 7:00, last starting time: 9:00. Must work 8-hour day with either 30 minutes (with attorney approval) or up to one hour for lunch and two 15-minute breaks - one 15-minute break in the morning and one 15-minute break in the afternoon. These breaks cannot be combined together or combined with lunch.
Qualifications include:
- 5 years of litigation experience in Insurance Defense and Trucking, highly preferred
- Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a litigation team.
- Must possess excellent organization skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to operate well under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Must be highly motivated.
Experience should include:
- Assisting attorney(s) in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions; drafting legal documents such as subpoenas and pleadings
- Assisting in case analysis meeting all applicable deadlines
- Federal and State E-filing experience
- Summarizing medical/billing records and depositions
- Managing cases from inception to completion.
Software:
- iManage
- Aderant Billing Software, a plus but not required
- MS Office
- Adobe
