LHH had partnered again with a local and growing company in San Diego in search for a Payroll Specialist. This position will be responsible for managing and processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key responsibilities of this Payroll Specialist include:
- Maintain general ledger and process biweekly payroll for approximately 100 employees.
- Review personnel files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Handle all payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees.
- Collaborate with HR and finance to ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll issues.
- Issue final pay checks or direct deposits.
Minimum requirements:
- 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with at least a year processing payroll.
- Experienced with Ceridian Dayforce a plus but not required.
- Prior experience with commissions and bonuses highly preferred.
- Familiarity and up to date with CA payroll laws and regulations.
- Detail oriented and accurate.
- Reliable, punctual, able to work independently but also in a team environment.
