Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH) is a comprehensive network of community health centers under a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) model. We provide Article 16 and 28 clinic services at 3 locations across Suffolk County, New York.
LISH is currently searching for a General Dentist to join our multi-site (Central Islip and Riverhead) Dental Clinic. We are looking for energetic individuals who will have the opportunity to work with LISH's experienced clinical staff. A successful candidate will be an experienced and confident professional, they will possess strong communication and analytical skills. This is an opportunity to join an innovative medical clinic
General duties include:
- In-depth oral health examinations, preventive care, and procedures (e.g., evaluations, imaging, cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, and more)
- Diagnosing problems and prescribing appropriate treatments (e.g., medication, surgery)
- Educating patients on dental health
- Contributing to a dynamic, collaborative environment by working closely with our other dental staff to create a strong, unified care team, including other general dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants
- Further LISH's mission of expanding comprehensive dental care by providing patient-centered care to all patients, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay
Requirements:
- Graduated from a accredited dental school
- Licensed & Registered to practice as a dentist in NY by the NYS Department of Education
- Bilingual a plus
- EMR experience required, eClinicalworks preferred
- BLS certified
- Ability and means to travel to other sites for coverage as needed
