Consider joining us!Designated Coordinator position in Moorhead for LSS Employment Services!The Employment Services Designated Coordinator (DC) will assist in the development of independent community employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
The person in this role will assist in the onboarding of individuals to the Supported Employment Service and conduct follow up interviews as appropriate.
They will act as a liaison between LSS SES and various government and county agencies and will inform current LSS employees on policy and policy changes acquired from Waivered Services and the Department of Economic and Employment Development (DEED).
They will also assist in facilitating program development so that services are enhanced and expanded to meet the changing needs of people served.
This position develops and maintains relationships with 25-30 current or incoming requests for service with people served.
The role will also work directly with the Employment Services Program Manager, Regional Directors and other Designated Coordinators to develop services throughout the assigned region and ensure LSS stays current with industry accreditations and licenses.
Bachelor’s degree in in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older or;
Associate degree in a field related to human services, plus two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.
Action necessary to facilitate the accomplishment of the outcomes according to the requirements in section245D.CPR certification, First Aid (when required) may be obtained afterhire.
Experience in training on process andprocedure.General working knowledge of the regulations that govern disabilityservices.
BCA clearance isrequired.Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving recordrequired.Adept reading, writing, math, problem solving and computerskills.
Ability to accept / follow through withdirections.Able to recognizeboundaries.Creative team member who can suggest and implement strategies to enhance and growservices.
Demonstrated patience, self-control and flexibility,motivatedself-starter.Interact with a variety of people in a cooperative and constructivemanner.
