We’re seeking a Footwear Color Designer with a strong blend of creative vision, technical knowledge, and collaborative spirit. The ideal candidate will bring color to life through thoughtful storytelling, trend research, and a passion for design that enhances the consumer experience. This role blends art and science to drive emotional connections through product.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Footwear Color Designer, you’ll develop trend-forward, narrative-driven color concepts and execute them across products and collections. Your work will bridge design, development, and manufacturing to ensure premium execution. You’ll stay ahead of color trends in fashion, art, and sport to inform impactful design decisions that connect with consumers.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Footwear and Apparel Designers, Developers, and Product Managers to build aligned and innovative collections. Strong communication and teamwork will be key to driving success.
WHAT YOU BRING
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- A portfolio of creative design work is required (attach or link when applying)
- Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3–5 years of experience in color design, materials, or footwear-related design
- Proven ability to build thoughtful color strategies and compelling stories across collections
- Experience working with color palettes and seasonal flow in partnership with creative leads
- Strong understanding of color technology, dyes, finishes, and material achievability
- Skilled in managing the color development process from concept to sample review and final execution
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Keynote
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of the product creation process for footwear is a plus
- Passion for innovative design and trend awareness
- Available to work on-site Monday through Thursday; remote on Fridays
Salary : $35 - $46
