Mallory Safety & Supply is looking to hire a Territory Manager to join our growing team in Lenexa, Kansas!

Currently, Mallory is looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join Mallory as an Territory Manager in Lenexa. In this role, the Territory Manager will be responsible for not only maintaining, but also increasing, sales revenues within an assigned geographical area. The Territory Manager will also be responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining customer relationships. This a dynamic, multi-faceted role that’s a great fit for a detail-oriented person.

Job Summary: The Territory Manager will be responsible for not only maintaining, but also increasing, sales revenues within an assigned geographical area. The Territory Manager will also be responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining customer relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Territory Manager might at times be responsible for the supervision of others, namely Onsite Associates working at accounts within their book of business. Supervisory responsibilities may include:
- Conduct interviews, performance evaluations, and coaching conversations
- Document employee performance notes in Paycom
- Train new employees on account-specific vending processes
- Review and approve timecards, adjust as needed
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as monthly and annual territory analyses as requested
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Problem solves by working with other associates to achieve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Resolves customer complaints and questions by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by working with suppliers, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Manages Onsite Associates in daily tasks and provides support as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Safety and/or industrial distribution knowledge is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills across a variety of platforms
- Self-starter spirit and proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Intermediate to Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, CRMs, and other company software platforms
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Valid Driver’s License required
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional bending, twisting, standing, and stooping
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the day
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
