POSITION SUMMARY
The Child Care Caseworker provides administrative duties to support the Child Care Program and Workforce Development (WFD). This position provides support and encouragement to program participants. This position requires multi-tasking and timely completion of tasks in coordination and collaboration with all WFD staff. This position will report directly to the WFD Director or designee.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Works with participants to encourage and maintain self-sufficiency through WFD programs and resources.
2. Works closely with staff, and partnering agencies to maintain compliance with WFD program regulations, including but not limited to current caseload.
3. Must become familiar with Public Law 102-477, prioritizing the Child Care program policy & procedures, regulations, and allowable costs.
4. Provides support to participants and includes in house audit of files, budget, reports, etc., with WFD staff.
5. Organizes provider training and special projects to increase self-sufficiency by empowering Maniilaq Service Area Tribal Members with education and/or employment goals through Child Care Program.
6. Process payments for all 477 programs according to program regulations, policies and procedures.
7. Travels as required for trainings, conferences, home visits, and/or client services.
8. Schedules and organizes annual training/meetings for 477 participants.
9. The Child Care Caseworker will have delegated authority to act in the absence of the Child Care Case Manager or designee.
10. Researches and organizes information assisting in logistical process improvements.
