Our healthcare client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally in a healthcare setting, and possess strong knowledge of payroll processing, compliance, and reporting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the payroll function for a growing healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Process and administer bi-weekly payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including deductions, taxes, and overtime.
- Review timekeeping systems and employee timesheets to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain payroll records, including adjustments and updates for new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information.
- Handle payroll inquiries and provide support to employees regarding pay discrepancies and other payroll-related concerns.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Generate and submit tax filings, reports, and other payroll-related documentation.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate data for payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and deductions.
- Assist in the preparation and review of year-end payroll reports and tax filings (W-2, 1099).
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with discretion.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
