Summary: Performs many cleaning tasks in maintaining an assigned area of the facility in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. After receiving daily cleaning assignment, selects materials and supplies from utility and linen supply rooms, loads service cart, and transports to work area. At the end of shift, returns unused supplies to utility room; leaves soiled linens and trash in designated areas.
Essential Functions:
- Cleans window sills, furnishings, floor, and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease. Uses dust cloths, vacuum cleaner, and mops for certain areas.
- Empties trash baskets and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
- Disinfects and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment.
- Replenishes supplies of cups, soaps, towels, tissues, and other disposable items.
- Assigned daily to a designated area on a rotational basis.
- May be assigned to laundry or other areas in the facility.
- Provides excellent customer assistance if assigned to the front desk reception area to answer phones and greet residents, guests, and family members during lunches/breaks.
- May perform other tasks as assigned.
