About the position:
We are seeking a Project Superintendent who is self-motivated, enthusiastic about new opportunities, and driven to excel. A Project Superintendent who will lead and oversee the successful execution of the construction projects. The Ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, maintaining accurate records, and fostering effective communication among project teams, subcontractors, and clients. The Project Superintendent will play a critical role in driving project efficiency, quality, and timely completion.
Responsibilities:
Daily Project Schedule Updates:
- Ensure the project schedule is consistently updated with accurate information.
- Monitor project milestones, tasks, and timelines to ensure alignment with the schedule.
- Implement 6-Week Look Ahead (6WLA) and 2-Week Look Ahead (2WLA) schedules, maintaining a 75% firm rate for 6WLA and a 95% firm rate for 2WLA.
- Provide the 6WLA Make Ready schedule monthly and update.
Daily Job Log Entry:
- Maintain a detailed and comprehensive daily job log, documenting all activities, progress, challenges, and decisions made on-site.
- Track workforce and subcontractor activities, material deliveries, and any unforeseen issues.
Daily Project Photo Entry:
- Capture and upload daily project photos to visually document progress and activities.
- Create a visual record of milestones, construction phases, quality control measures, and attach them to the project log.
2-Week Look Ahead Project Schedule:
- Develop and communicate a 2-week look ahead project schedule, outlining upcoming tasks, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with project team members to ensure adequate preparation for upcoming activities.
- Maintain a high level of firmness (95%) for the 2WLA schedule.
Weekly Client Project Status Update:
- Provide weekly updates to the client regarding project status, progress, and any relevant issues.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and provide transparency on project developments.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ previous experience as a construction superintendent leading a construction project.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process.
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
- Federal or Public Works experience a plus.
