THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Casino Cage Shift Supervisor at MGM Grand to assist in leading the cage team toward a successful completion of shift operations including balancing of all banks, adherence to all company best practices and all Federal, State and local gaming regulations in addition to the delivery of SHOW standard guest service to all internal and external patrons.
THE STARTING PAY: $27.00 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Monitors quality standards within the department, delegation of daily work, running shift reports for the department, and verifies and approves appropriate transactions in accordance with internal control standards
- Assist the Casino Cage Manager in ensuring the banks are balanced within the Cage at the end of the shift in accordance with departmental variance policy and reviews all the reports or forms accurately in compliance with Title 31
- Excellent customer services and maintains the highest level of S.H.O.W. guest service program to all guests, resolves guest complaints, assist with MGM Rewards Member request and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with supervising the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with company’s core service standards and brand attributes
- Supervise and support MGM Rewards program, MyVegas rewards program, and MGM Rewards Mastercard program; Issue FREEPLAY, complimentary play coupons and adjust tier credits to guests upon request in accordance with outlined company policies and procedures
- Collaborates with workforce management and Casino Cage Manager on work schedules, vacation requests, attendance records, to ensure proper staffing levels
- Assist with Human Resources responsibilities to include: create and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring training, and succession planning processes that encompass the Company’s diversity commitment
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 2 Years of Prior Relevant Casino Cage Cash Handling
- Ability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Experience in large-volume cash handling in a Casino environment
- Experience in Casino Cage
- Experience working in a similar resort setting
- Thorough knowledge and compliance of Title 31 Regulations
