Aria is seeking a Pool Attendant to join our team. This role will be outside, assisting with all guests needs at the pool. THE JOB:
As a pool attendant, you will welcome guests to the pool and the MGM Resorts family, providing memorable service by anticipating their needs and assisting with seating, cabanas, and general pool information. You will respond to and resolve guest complaints, exceed their expectations, and support other services as needed. Additionally, you will maintain the pool deck's appearance, assist with desk and towel duties, set up cabanas, and ensure guest safety by providing CPR or first aid and following emergency protocols. Participating in pool safety programs and training is also required to ensure overall guest safety.
THE STARTING RATE: $12/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Welcome guests to the pool and the MGM Resorts family by providing memorable service, anticipating guest needs, and assisting with seating, cabanas, or general pool information.
Respond to and resolve guest complaints, exceed guest expectations, and provide additional support services as needed.
Complete opening/closing duties while maintaining the appearance of the pool deck throughout the shift, assist with desk and towel duties, set up cabanas, straighten chairs, collect soiled towels and trash, move chairs, and perform other related tasks.
Provide CPR or first aid if necessary and follow established emergency protocols.
Participate in pool safety programs and training, ensuring the overall safety of guests at all times.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Prior face to face customer service experience.
Prior experience in a pool, resort, or similar field.
CPR certified or willing to obtain this certification if offered the role.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all guests and employees.
Comfortable with working in various outside weather conditions for the majority of all shifts.
Flexibility to work various shifts/hours as needed per on call requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
