Job Summary: Applicant is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and accurate member service and processing loan applications. Realize members' needs by proactively determining appropriate products and services for our members, while continuing to honor our mission statement.
Essential Elements of the Job:
- Maintain a positive and professional image of self and the Credit Union while providing accurate, timely, and courteous service to our members in processing transactions efficiently.
- Assist members with all aspects of their account needs to build trust and rapport while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist members with consumer loan needs, including auto, boat, motorcycle, and personal loans.
- Cross-sell loan protection products on loans and additional accounts, asking for referrals. Additional monthly incentive pay available based off performance.
- Assure all paperwork is accurate and scanned in a timely manner.
- Manage loan recapture and indirect loan list to ensure members are taking advantage of every opportunity available.
- Manage proof of insurance for loans processed and the title work process.
Required: Customer service, sales and cash handling experience is required. This can include experience in a restaurant or retail environment. Individual must possess strong abstract reasoning and problem solving skills. Individual must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Individual must possess strong math skills in order to effectively handle cash.
Preferred Experience: Experience, knowledge and training in retail branch operations activities, terminology, and products and services relating to retail banking, credit unions, check cashing and/or lending institutions.
