As a House Parent at Milton Hershey School, you will be part of a unique career path that requires consideration and commitment from both spouses. You will reside on-campus in a student home with your partner, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students.
Your responsibilities will include driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more. As a flexible House Parent, you will initially cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
The ideal candidate should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Couples must have been legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and meet other qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities include leading students in daily devotions, taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services, and demonstrating a high degree of integrity as role models for students. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application and adhere to campus policies including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment.
