Wellness Center Student Custodian
Primary responsibilities are cleaning and maintaining a safe facility, which includes, but not limited to, washing windows, vacuuming, wet/dry mopping floors, emptying trash cans, dusting, equipment checks, managing inventory of cleaning and janitorial supplies, snow removal, cleaning locker rooms, sweeping courts, and other duties as assigned. Will require some light duties of exercise equipment maintenance and miscellaneous repairs. Will require assisting in set ups and take downs for activities and programming needed in the facility. A general knowledge of custodial procedures and practices is needed. Must be willing to become CPR/1st aid certified. Open and secure the building and areas of the building as required.
Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively and appropriately with others.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use mechanical equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuum, tools, etc.
Ability to use various chemicals and cleaning agents.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Occasional lifting and moving of equipment from 50-100lbs. or more, with assistance.
Daily standing for periods of several hours while performing various tasks.
Regular crouching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, etc. to facilitate various duties and maintenance activities. Includes occasional ladder climbing and crawling under equipment.
