About the Role
MIRACORP, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Management Support Specialist to provide specialized administrative and technical support to Contracting Officers and contract management personnel within the U.S. Department of Energy. This role supports a wide range of federal acquisition activities, including preparing contract documentation, maintaining modification records, tracking compliance, and assisting with financial assistance awards.
Location: U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Falls, ID
Essential Functions
Contract Documentation & Records Management
- Prepare, route, and distribute contract-related correspondence
- Maintain contract modification records and organized contract files
- Support annual financial assistance awards and associated documentation
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance in all contract documentation
Acquisition & Compliance Support
- Assist with procurement documentation and compliance tracking
- Provide technical support in federal acquisition systems (IDMS, STARS)
- Coordinate with Contracting Officers on routine contract actions
- Support adherence to FAR principles and DOE acquisition requirements
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Prepare reports, summaries, and decision-support materials for managers and leadership
- Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and tracking tools
- Support general administrative tasks related to contract and acquisition activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field and 3 years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree and 5 years OR 7 years of direct experience
- Strong understanding of federal contracting processes and FAR principles (Parts 4, 13, 15, 16)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with federal acquisition systems such as IDMS and STARS
- Excellent organizational and document management skills
- NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting DOE or other federal agencies
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools or systems
